Every day we touch fabrics, building an intimate relationship with them. A literally woven image, to some extent, represents us—our daily choices. In this project, I would like to explore ways of interacting with material and form, to understand how the process of creation transforms the perception of oneself and the surrounding world, and to trace a path of self-expression. I want to gather materials from around the world, wherever I may be, and to build connections with memories through handmade objects—whether clothing, accessories, or items for the home.
The story of my relationship with textiles began in childhood. My grandmother and aunt were excellent at sewing, and I was fascinated by the complexity of their work; there were always many sewing magazines around. Later, I began sewing myself, and for some time I tried making custom garments, eventually working in a fabric store. The world of textiles captivated me and made me fall in love with textures and the stories they carry—stories that often reveal themselves ambiguously to a curious eye.
Now I am interested in exploring the potential of textiles, discovering something special that captures my attention, sharing these findings, and creating objects collaboratively. Let this small shop be the beginning of my journey of exploration. I would be happy to meet fellow travelers along the way!
